Our Alpaca Farm & Agritourism Business is for Sale
After many wonderful years, we are ready to retire and pass on our well-established alpaca agritourism business and farm property to someone who will love it as much as we do.

Our farm is set on 10 peaceful acres and is home to 46 alpacas of all ages. We proudly operate as an alpaca sanctuary, and our alpacas are cherished members of our farm family.

Over the years, we’ve built a successful agritourism business with a loyal following and huge growth potential. There is ample opportunity to expand experiences, events, and offerings for guests seeking meaningful rural and farm-based experiences.

We are fully committed to a smooth transition and are happy to train and support the new owner, sharing our knowledge of alpaca care and day-to-day business operations. We truly want the next steward of this special place to succeed.

Our asking price is $2,000,000.00, which includes the alpacas, turnkey business, 10 acres land and the farmhouse.

The Business
Experiences
We are open year-round and welcome guests every day by appointment. Our farm experiences include guided farm tours, alpaca walks, and overnight farm stays (Airbnb).

During the summer, we invite guests to enjoy Sunday Picnics, where the pasture is open for relaxed visits with the alpacas. In winter, we host a cozy Sunday Social, welcoming guests into the barn to meet the alpacas up close.

We also offer special seasonal experiences, such as our Alpaca Mini Walk with Valentine’s Day photo shoot. All experiences are private, bookable online, and designed to create meaningful, memorable moments with our animals.

In addition, we host several free Open House events throughout the year. Our annual Shearing Open House in spring attracts a few hundred visitors who come to learn about alpaca fibre harvesting. We also hold two Christmas Open Houses—the first Saturday and second Sunday in December—to celebrate the season with our community.

While these are the experiences we currently offer, there is strong potential to create more in the future. As a two-person operation, we thoughtfully balance growth with sustainability. We do bring in extra help during our busiest seasons, including summer, shearing, and special events.

Farm Store
Most of the products in our farm store are made from the fibre of our own alpacas or sourced through the Alpaca Fibre Co-operative of Ontario, a group of about 20 farms working together. By pooling our fibre, we’re able to process it through larger mills, and members then purchase finished products to sell in their own farm stores.

While I love knitting and crocheting for the store, time is often limited. For that reason, I’m grateful to collaborate with local crafters, knitters, and fibre artists who create beautiful items for our shelves. One of our former summer employees now runs her own knitwear business and is a key supplier for our store.

Web Store
We also sell our products online through our website. At the moment, limited inventory means we often can’t fully stock both the farm store and the web store at the same time. Expanding this area is a clear opportunity for future growth and additional income.

Alpaca Farming
Caring for our alpacas is the heart and foundation of everything we do. Our farm operates as a sanctuary, meaning every alpaca has a forever home and their well-being always comes first.

Daily care includes feeding, providing fresh water, and cleaning pens, which takes about 1.5 hours each morning. Once a year in spring, the alpacas are shorn—our fibre harvest—which requires careful planning and coordination. Shearing takes place over five days in May and is an important part of both animal care and fibre production.

Next Step
The welfare of our animals is our highest priority. We operate our farm as a sanctuary, and every animal here has a forever home. It is very important to us that any new owners genuinely share these values and are committed to continuing this level of care.

For this reason, we prefer to meet potential buyers in person and are not working with a real estate company. Once we find the right fit and reach a mutual understanding, we would of course proceed with the next steps by involving a real estate lawyer.

We are open to viewings and would love to connect with anyone seriously interested in continuing this very special place. Please feel free to reach out for a chat—we’re happy to answer questions and share more details.
