Farm Experiences - current

We are now at retirement age, so over the years we have intentionally shaped the business around a level of activity that we can comfortably manage. We have chosen to focus on quality rather than volume, creating a more personal experience for our guests while keeping the workload reasonable.

Our Farm Tour with Alpaca Walk is at the heart of what we offer. It gives visitors a chance to experience the farm up close, meet the alpacas, feed them treats, learn about these quirky animals, and then take some of them for a walk down the country road.

We keep our tours private and by appointment, so each family or group gets our personal attention rather than being part of a large crowd. This makes the experience more relaxed for both the visitors and the alpacas.

We have developed the tour over many years and trained our alpacas to participate safely and comfortably. We currently offer up to three private tours with an alpaca walk per day, which gives us a manageable schedule while still providing a meaningful experience for our guests.

Our Farm Stay is one of the special parts of S.A.M.Y.’s Alpaca Farm. The private bunkie gives guests the opportunity to stay overnight and experience the farm at a much slower pace than a regular day visit.

Guests can wake up surrounded by alpacas, enjoy the peaceful countryside, and experience the farm when the daytime visitors have gone home. Depending on the season and weather, the stay can include an alpaca walk, morning feeding, and an evening bonfire.

The bunkie is set up to comfortably accommodate up to four guests. It has a cozy sitting area, sleeping accommodations, heating and air conditioning, while bathroom and shower facilities are available in the farmhouse. A small BBQ is also available for guests.

We list the farm stay on Airbnb and our own website, giving us two channels for attracting overnight guests.

Sunday Alpaca Picnic

During the summer, we also open the pasture for our Sunday Alpaca Picnic. Guests can bring a picnic, relax in the countryside, and enjoy spending time around the alpacas in a casual, laid-back setting.

It offers a different type of farm experience from our private tours—less structured and more about simply enjoying the farm, the animals, and the outdoors. Visitors can watch the alpacas graze, feed them treats, take photos, and enjoy a peaceful afternoon on the farm.

We also welcome drop-in visitors by chance and donation every day. If we are here and available, we are happy to take visitors out to see the alpacas. Guests can also visit the backyard and see the herd.
